Jakarta during the lebaran season (part 2) - Kemang

Now is Kemang time.
Sejak masa kuliah arsitektur ku , koridor Kemang menjadi tempat favoritku berexplorasi. Wadah para arsitek ,designer dan seniman. Cafe-cafe dan showroom-showroom interior nya yang cantik membuat daerah ini terasa sangat artistik. 
Satu icon Kemang yang baru disini adalah Lippo Kemang Village.I like its landscape concept rather than its mal interior. Well yeah mall in Jakarta is almost the same.
Sebenarnya area ini terletak di daerah yang rendah..tapi daripada menguruk semua lahan..Lippo malahan membuat jalan layang sendiri menuju ke area ini.
Dan dia area bawahnya dipergunakan sebagai parkir motor. Really nice idea.

Super Car Parking
Kemang memang dikenal sebagai a fashionable borjuis area...tapi ini baru kali ini aku melihat mal yang mengkhusukan suatu area sebagai "Super Car Parking " area. This "super car parking" means cuma mobil yang punya lambang kuda jingkrang, lambang banteng, lambang kucing besar dan lambang tameng yang dihiasi kuda , boleh parkir disini.
Hm such an unique arrogant discrimination.   

Jakarta during the lebaran season (Part 1) - Bus Mpok Siti

Believe me Jakarta looks so damn beautifull during lebaran season. Time when everyone who actually not Jakartanese back to their origin. And you can see all the artistic shape of Jakarta.

Today I with tourist from Ende is trying City tour Jakarta Bus. Our new touristic vehicle  that we have during  our new governor season.

The bus move around the central city while the tour guide tell a little story about the building around.

I don't know, this is because that tour guide still a trainee or the script is not good enough but unfortunately.. he miss a couple of story.

 Like this area , my mom tell me when she was a kid her parents sometime took her to a restaurant near this river area, named Capitol. The river was so clean and clear. And it looked very beautiful in the night with the light and boats sailed over the river.

This bus has a glass roof area, and its realy nice to see the Cathedral in this view. But I wonder why he miss story about this building, while he talk much about other building the opposite this building. Its an Istiqlal Mosque, our biggest mosque. 

Is this another racist issue?! 

But I try being positive, maybe he is a trainee who really don't understand about this fact.

Maybe if ask him politely and naively "sir what this building about"

He would answer nicely "oh...hm I think its only a guard house"

And I pretend truly believe him :)
